4041 peptide are boxed, and the primers used for HIV antisense RNA detection are indicated
(dashed arrows). Not shown is the run of four-five U bases embedded in a GC rich region
encoded at the U3 terminus, which could potentially function as a termination signal
(for either RNA polymerase 11 or 111) for this antisense RNA (compare B clade WEAU,
or JRCSF with NY5) [18].
