TERT-2 cells trans infect VLPs to MOLT-4/CCR5 cells. TERT-2 cell monolayers were incubated for 6 h at 37°C with replication-incompetent
HIV-NL4-3 particles pseudotyped to express VSV-G envelope (VLPs) at a MOI 100. Cells
were washed, then co-cultured with MOLT-4/CCR5 (2 × 105) cells, and EGFP expression in MOLT-4/CCR5 cells was analyzed at 48 h using flow
cytometry. The percentage of infected MOLT-4/CCR5 cells was quantified. Some TERT-2
monolayers were either treated with trypsin, colchicine (500 μM for 30 min), pre-cooled
to 4°C, trypsin and pre-cooled to 4°C, or trypsin and colchicine as described in the
Materials and Methods. Data shown are the mean ± standard deviation from three independent
experiments.
