Detection of Tax protein by immunohistochemistry. In lung tissues of Tax transgenic mice (A-C) and patients with HTLV-I-related pulmonary
diseases (D-F), immunohistochemical staining showed definite brownish staining for
Tax protein in the cytoplasm of epithelial cells (A and D), and infiltrated lymphocytes
(B and E) and macrophages (C and F).
